Muktsar

Muktsar is a district in the Punjab State of India. Total area of Muktsar is 2,593 km² including 2,530.28 km² rural area and 62.72 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Muktsar has a population of 9,01,896 peoples, out of which urban population is 2,52,191 while rural population is 6,49,705. Muktsar has a sex ratio of approximately 896 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 348 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 1,74,360 houses in the district, including 50,236 urban houses and 1,24,124 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 233 villages in muktsar district.
