Patiala

Patiala is a district in the Punjab State of India. Total area of Patiala is 3,325 km² including 3,169.81 km² rural area and 155.19 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Patiala has a population of 18,95,686 peoples, out of which urban population is 7,63,280 while rural population is 11,32,406. Patiala has a sex ratio of approximately 890 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 570 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 3,72,293 houses in the district, including 1,58,036 urban houses and 2,14,257 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 895 villages in patiala district.
