Tarn Taran

Tarn Taran is a district in the Punjab State of India. Total area of Tarn Taran is 2,414 km² including 2,379.67 km² rural area and 34.33 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Tarn Taran has a population of 11,19,627 peoples, out of which urban population is 1,41,795 while rural population is 9,77,832. Tarn Taran has a sex ratio of approximately 899 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 464 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 2,03,421 houses in the district, including 26,752 urban houses and 1,76,669 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 479 villages in tarn taran district.
