Barmer

Barmer is a district in the Rajasthan State of India. Total area of Barmer is 28,387 km² including 28,320.00 km² rural area and 67.00 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Barmer has a population of 26,03,751 peoples, out of which urban population is 1,81,837 while rural population is 24,21,914. Barmer has a sex ratio of approximately 901 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 92 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 4,51,629 houses in the district, including 32,639 urban houses and 4,18,990 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 2,452 villages in barmer district.
