Churu

Churu is a district in the Rajasthan State of India. Total area of Churu is 13,835 km² including 13,632.34 km² rural area and 202.66 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Churu has a population of 20,39,547 peoples, out of which urban population is 5,76,235 while rural population is 14,63,312. Churu has a sex ratio of approximately 939 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 147 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 3,48,984 houses in the district, including 93,116 urban houses and 2,55,868 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 873 villages in churu district.

The Churu district is further divided in to Tehsils / Blocks / PS / Community Development Blocks (C.D.Blocks) for administrative purposes.
