Jodhpur

Jodhpur is a district in the Rajasthan State of India. Total area of Jodhpur is 22,850 km² including 22,594.18 km² rural area and 255.82 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Jodhpur has a population of 36,87,165 peoples, out of which urban population is 12,64,614 while rural population is 24,22,551. Jodhpur has a sex ratio of approximately 916 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 161 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 6,49,013 houses in the district, including 2,34,790 urban houses and 4,14,223 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 1,836 villages in jodhpur district.
