Karauli

Karauli is a district in the Rajasthan State of India. Total area of Karauli is 5,524 km² including 5,431.07 km² rural area and 92.93 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Karauli has a population of 14,58,248 peoples, out of which urban population is 2,18,105 while rural population is 12,40,143. Karauli has a sex ratio of approximately 860 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 264 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 2,62,503 houses in the district, including 37,933 urban houses and 2,24,570 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 851 villages in karauli district.
