Tonk

Tonk is a district in the Rajasthan State of India. Total area of Tonk is 7,194 km² including 6,952.13 km² rural area and 241.87 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Tonk has a population of 14,21,326 peoples, out of which urban population is 3,17,723 while rural population is 11,03,603. Tonk has a sex ratio of approximately 952 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 198 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 2,66,870 houses in the district, including 54,744 urban houses and 2,12,126 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 1,116 villages in tonk district.

The Tonk district is further divided in to Tehsils / Blocks / PS / Community Development Blocks (C.D.Blocks) for administrative purposes.
