North District
North District is a district in the Sikkim State of India. Total area of North District is 4,226 km² including 4,224.24 km² rural area and 1.76 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, North District has a population of 43,709 peoples, out of which urban population is 4,644 while rural population is 39,065. North District has a sex ratio of approximately 767 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 10 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 8,873 houses in the district, including 1,054 urban houses and 7,819 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 52 villages in north district district.
