West District
West District is a district in the Sikkim State of India. Total area of West District is 1,166 km² including 1,162.28 km² rural area and 3.72 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, West District has a population of 1,36,435 peoples, out of which urban population is 5,248 while rural population is 1,31,187. West District has a sex ratio of approximately 942 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 117 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 28,023 houses in the district, including 1,133 urban houses and 26,890 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 119 villages in west district district.
