Krishnagiri is a district in the Tamil Nadu State of India. Total area of Krishnagiri is 5,129 km² including 4,965.73 km² rural area and 163.27 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Krishnagiri has a population of 18,79,809 peoples, out of which urban population is 4,28,363 while rural population is 14,51,446. The district has a population density of 367 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 4,48,053 houses in the district, including 1,05,194 urban houses and 3,42,859 rural houses.
