Ramanathapuram District, Tamil Nadu

Ramanathapuram District is an administrative district in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. It is situated about 570 km from Chennai, the state capital of Tamil Nadu. The district headquarters is located at Ramanathapuram. Tamil is the main language spoken in the district. The district covers a total geographical area of 4,104 km², including 3,912.99 km² of rural area and 191.01 km² of urban area.
