Ghaziabad is a district in the Uttar Pradesh State of India. Total area of Ghaziabad is 1,179 km² including 777.91 km² rural area and 401.09 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Ghaziabad has a population of 46,81,645 peoples, out of which urban population is 31,62,547 while rural population is 15,19,098. Ghaziabad has a sex ratio of approximately 881 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 3971 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 8,50,676 houses in the district, including 6,02,626 urban houses and 2,48,050 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 511 villages in ghaziabad district.
