Ghazipur is a district in the Uttar Pradesh State of India. Total area of Ghazipur is 3,377 km² including 3,312.67 km² rural area and 64.33 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Ghazipur has a population of 36,20,268 peoples, out of which urban population is 2,74,360 while rural population is 33,45,908. The district has a population density of 1072 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 5,46,664 houses in the district, including 41,569 urban houses and 5,05,095 rural houses.
