Hardoi is a district in the Uttar Pradesh State of India. Total area of Hardoi is 5,986 km² including 5,837.84 km² rural area and 148.16 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Hardoi has a population of 40,92,845 peoples, out of which urban population is 5,41,806 while rural population is 35,51,039. The district has a population density of 684 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 7,30,442 houses in the district, including 91,815 urban houses and 6,38,627 rural houses.
