Jalaun

Jalaun is a district in the Uttar Pradesh State of India. Total area of Jalaun is 4,565 km² including 4,491.48 km² rural area and 73.52 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Jalaun has a population of 16,89,974 peoples, out of which urban population is 4,18,900 while rural population is 12,71,074. Jalaun has a sex ratio of approximately 865 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 370 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 2,88,338 houses in the district, including 71,768 urban houses and 2,16,570 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 942 villages in jalaun district.
