Jalaun is a district in the Uttar Pradesh State of India. Total area of Jalaun is 4,565 km² including 4,491.48 km² rural area and 73.52 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Jalaun has a population of 16,89,974 peoples, out of which urban population is 4,18,900 while rural population is 12,71,074. The district has a population density of 370 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 2,88,338 houses in the district, including 71,768 urban houses and 2,16,570 rural houses.
