Jaunpur is a district in the Uttar Pradesh State of India. Total area of Jaunpur is 4,038 km² including 3,977.69 km² rural area and 60.31 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Jaunpur has a population of 44,94,204 peoples, out of which urban population is 3,46,580 while rural population is 41,47,624. Jaunpur has a sex ratio of approximately 1023 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 1113 inhabitants per square kilometre.
