Jaunpur District is an administrative district in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. It is situated about 220 km from Lucknow, the state capital of Uttar Pradesh. The district headquarters is located at Jaunpur. Hindi and Bhojpuri are the main languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total geographical area of 4,038 km², including 3,977.69 km² of rural area and 60.31 km² of urban area.
