Kaushambi

Kaushambi is a district in the Uttar Pradesh State of India. Total area of Kaushambi is 1,779 km² including 1,721.83 km² rural area and 57.17 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Kaushambi has a population of 15,99,596 peoples, out of which urban population is 1,24,456 while rural population is 14,75,140. Kaushambi has a sex ratio of approximately 907 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 899 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 2,77,851 houses in the district, including 21,653 urban houses and 2,56,198 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 729 villages in kaushambi district.
