Lalitpur is a district in the Uttar Pradesh State of India. Total area of Lalitpur is 5,039 km² including 4,997.74 km² rural area and 41.26 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Lalitpur has a population of 12,21,592 peoples, out of which urban population is 1,75,378 while rural population is 10,46,214. The district has a population density of 242 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 2,22,094 houses in the district, including 32,551 urban houses and 1,89,543 rural houses.
