Mathura

Mathura is a district in the Uttar Pradesh State of India. Total area of Mathura is 3,340 km² including 3,185.74 km² rural area and 154.26 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Mathura has a population of 25,47,184 peoples, out of which urban population is 7,55,993 while rural population is 17,91,191. Mathura has a sex ratio of approximately 863 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 763 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 4,23,125 houses in the district, including 1,30,244 urban houses and 2,92,881 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 730 villages in mathura district.
