As per 2011 stats, Moradabad has a population of 47,72,006 peoples, out of which urban population is 15,73,623 while rural population is 31,98,383. The district has a population density of 1283 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 7,96,170 houses in the district, including 2,73,407 urban houses and 5,22,763 rural houses.
