Muzaffarnagar is a district in the Uttar Pradesh State of India. Total area of Muzaffarnagar is 4,008 km² including 3,867.59 km² rural area and 140.41 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Muzaffarnagar has a population of 41,43,512 peoples, out of which urban population is 11,91,312 while rural population is 29,52,200. Muzaffarnagar has a sex ratio of approximately 889 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 1034 inhabitants per square kilometre.
