Muzaffarnagar is a district in the Uttar Pradesh State of India. Total area of Muzaffarnagar is 4,008 km² including 3,867.59 km² rural area and 140.41 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Muzaffarnagar has a population of 41,43,512 peoples, out of which urban population is 11,91,312 while rural population is 29,52,200. The district has a population density of 1034 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 6,76,642 houses in the district, including 2,00,893 urban houses and 4,75,749 rural houses.
