Birbhum

Birbhum is a district in the West Bengal State of India. Total area of Birbhum is 4,545 km² including 4,424.56 km² rural area and 120.44 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Birbhum has a population of 35,02,404 peoples, out of which urban population is 4,49,448 while rural population is 30,52,956. Birbhum has a sex ratio of approximately 955 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 770.6 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 8,17,899 houses in the district, including 1,02,423 urban houses and 7,15,476 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 2,242 villages in birbhum district.
