Haora

Haora is a district in the West Bengal State of India. Total area of Haora is 1,467 km² including 1,035.43 km² rural area and 431.57 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Haora has a population of 48,50,029 peoples, out of which urban population is 30,74,144 while rural population is 17,75,885. Haora has a sex ratio of approximately 939 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 3306 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 10,61,336 houses in the district, including 6,69,902 urban houses and 3,91,434 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 644 villages in haora district.
