Jalpaiguri District, West Bengal
Jalpaiguri District is an administrative district in the state of West Bengal, India. It is situated about 600 km from Kolkata, the state capital of West Bengal. The district headquarters is located at Jalpaiguri. Bengali, Rajbongshi and Nepali are the main languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total geographical area of 6,227 km², including 5,859.70 km² of rural area and 367.30 km² of urban area.
