Kolkata is a district in the West Bengal State of India. Total area of Kolkata is 185 km². As per 2011 stats, Kolkata has a population of 44,96,694 peoples. The district has a population density of 24306 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 10,24,928 houses in the district.
