Murshidabad
Murshidabad is a district in the West Bengal State of India. Total area of Murshidabad is 5,324 km² including 5,048.06 km² rural area and 275.94 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Murshidabad has a population of 71,03,807 peoples, out of which urban population is 14,00,692 while rural population is 57,03,115. Murshidabad has a sex ratio of approximately 958 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 1334 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 15,70,759 houses in the district, including 2,84,559 urban houses and 12,86,200 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 1,886 villages in murshidabad district.
