Nadia

Nadia is a district in the West Bengal State of India. Total area of Nadia is 3,927 km² including 3,604.05 km² rural area and 322.95 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Nadia has a population of 51,67,600 peoples, out of which urban population is 14,38,873 while rural population is 37,28,727. Nadia has a sex ratio of approximately 947 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 1316 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 12,32,282 houses in the district, including 3,48,972 urban houses and 8,83,310 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 1,216 villages in nadia district.

The Nadia district is further divided in to Subdivisions / Blocks / PS / Community Development Blocks (C.D.Blocks) for administrative purposes.
