Tawang

Tawang is a district in the Arunachal Pradesh State of India. Total area of Tawang is 2,172 km². As per 2011 stats, Tawang has a population of 49,977 peoples, out of which urban population is 11,202 while rural population is 38,775. Tawang has a sex ratio of approximately 714 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 23.01 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 10,062 houses in the district, including 1,685 urban houses and 8,377 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 218 villages in tawang district.

The Tawang district is further divided in to Circles / Blocks / PS / Community Development Blocks (C.D.Blocks) for administrative purposes.
