Tawang District, Arunachal Pradesh

Tawang District is an administrative district in the state of Arunachal Pradesh, India. It is situated about 450 km from Itanagar, the state capital of Arunachal Pradesh. The district headquarters is located at Tawang. Monpa is the main language spoken in the district. The district covers a total geographical area of 2,172 km².
