Dhemaji District, Assam

Dhemaji is an administrative district in Assam, India. The district is located about 380 km from Dispur, the capital of Assam. Its administrative headquarters is in Dhemaji. Assamese, Mishing and Deori are the major languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total area of 3,237 km², including 3,221.45 km² of rural area and 15.55 km² of urban area.
