East is an administrative district in Delhi, India. The district is located about 10 km from New Delhi, the capital of the Union Territory. Its administrative headquarters is in Preet Vihar. Hindi and Punjabi are the major languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total area of 63 km², including 0.27 km² of rural area and 62.73 km² of urban area.
