Delhi is an Indian national capital territory located in the Northern region of India. It was established on 01-Nov-1956. The capital of the national capital territory is New Delhi. Delhi is the largest city. The official languages are Hindi, English. Additional official languages include Urdu, Punjabi. Major rivers include Yamuna.

As per Census 2011, the total area of the national capital territory is 1,483 square kilometres, including 326 square kilometres of rural area and 1,157 square kilometres of urban area.

The national capital territory has a unicameral legislature with 7 Lok Sabha seats, 3 Rajya Sabha seats, 70 Vidhan Sabha seats. Judicial matters are handled by the Delhi High Court. Delhi shares borders with Haryana, Uttar Pradesh.
