Haryana
Haryana is an Indian state located in the Northern region of India. It was established on 01-Nov-1966. The capital of the state is Chandigarh. Faridabad is the largest city. The official language is Hindi. Additional official language includes Punjabi. Major rivers include Yamuna, Ghaggar.
As per Census 2011, the total area of the state is 44,212 square kilometres, including 42,236 square kilometres of rural area and 1,976 square kilometres of urban area.
The state has a unicameral legislature with 10 Lok Sabha seats, 5 Rajya Sabha seats, 90 Vidhan Sabha seats. Judicial matters are handled by the Punjab and Haryana High Court. Haryana shares borders with Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Delhi, Uttarakhand.
