Faridabad is an administrative district in Haryana, India. The district is located about 270 km from Chandigarh, the capital of Haryana. Its administrative headquarters is in Faridabad. Hindi, Haryanvi and Punjabi are the major languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total area of 741 km², including 522.58 km² of rural area and 218.42 km² of urban area.
