Kurukshetra District, Haryana

Kurukshetra District is an administrative district in the state of Haryana, India. It is situated about 80 km from Chandigarh, the state capital of Haryana. The district headquarters is located at Kurukshetra. Hindi and Haryanvi are the main languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total geographical area of 1,530 km², including 1,455.63 km² of rural area and 74.37 km² of urban area.
