Panipat District, Haryana

Panipat is an administrative district in Haryana, India. The district is located about 150 km from Chandigarh, the capital of Haryana. Its administrative headquarters is in Panipat. Hindi and Haryanvi are the major languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total area of 1,268 km², including 1,188.65 km² of rural area and 79.35 km² of urban area.
