Sonipat District, Haryana

Sonipat is an administrative district in Haryana, India. The district is located about 210 km from Chandigarh, the capital of Haryana. Its administrative headquarters is in Sonipat. Hindi and Haryanvi are the major languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total area of 2,122 km², including 2,039.99 km² of rural area and 82.01 km² of urban area.
