Gurgaon is a district in the Haryana State of India. Total area of Gurgaon is 1,258 km² including 976.65 km² rural area and 281.35 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Gurgaon has a population of 15,14,432 peoples, out of which urban population is 10,42,253 while rural population is 4,72,179. Gurgaon has a sex ratio of approximately 854 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 1204 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 3,26,428 houses in the district, including 2,37,750 urban houses and 88,678 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 229 villages in gurgaon district.

The Gurgaon district is further divided in to Tehsils / Blocks / PS / Community Development Blocks (C.D.Blocks) for administrative purposes.
