Chamba District, Himachal Pradesh

Chamba is an administrative district in Himachal Pradesh, India. The district is located about 300 km from Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh. Its administrative headquarters is in Chamba. Hindi, Pahari and Gaddish are the major languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total area of 6,522 km², including 6,501.26 km² of rural area and 20.74 km² of urban area.
