Baramula

Baramula is a district in the Jammu & Kashmir State of India. Total area of Baramula is 4,243 km² including 4,179.44 km² rural area and 63.56 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Baramula has a population of 10,08,039 peoples, out of which urban population is 1,82,500 while rural population is 8,25,539. Baramula has a sex ratio of approximately 885 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 238 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 1,52,635 houses in the district, including 27,289 urban houses and 1,25,346 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 509 villages in baramula district.
