Ganderbal

Ganderbal is a district in the Jammu & Kashmir State of India. Total area of Ganderbal is 259 km² including 233.60 km² rural area and 25.40 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Ganderbal has a population of 2,97,446 peoples, out of which urban population is 47,039 while rural population is 2,50,407. Ganderbal has a sex ratio of approximately 874 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 1148 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 45,361 houses in the district, including 6,966 urban houses and 38,395 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 113 villages in ganderbal district.
