Shopian District, Jammu And Kashmir

Shopian District is an administrative district in the union territory of Jammu And Kashmir, India. It is situated about 55 km from Srinagar, the capital of the Union Territory. The district headquarters is located at Shopian. Kashmiri and Urdu are the main languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total geographical area of 312 km², including 306.56 km² of rural area and 5.44 km² of urban area.
