Kasaragod District, Kerala

Kasaragod District is an administrative district in the state of Kerala, India. It is situated about 570 km from Thiruvananthapuram, the state capital of Kerala. The district headquarters is located at Kasaragod. Malayalam, Kannada, Tulu, Konkani and Beary are among the main languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total geographical area of 1,989 km², including 1,698.63 km² of rural area and 290.37 km² of urban area.
