Indore

Indore is a district in the Madhya Pradesh State of India. Total area of Indore is 3,898 km² including 3,548.86 km² rural area and 349.14 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Indore has a population of 32,76,697 peoples, out of which urban population is 24,27,709 while rural population is 8,48,988. Indore has a sex ratio of approximately 927 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 840.6 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 6,49,540 houses in the district, including 4,90,140 urban houses and 1,59,400 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 614 villages in indore district.

The Indore district is further divided in to Tehsils / Blocks / PS / Community Development Blocks (C.D.Blocks) for administrative purposes.
