Akola District, Maharashtra

Akola District is an administrative district in the state of Maharashtra, India. It is situated about 490 km from Mumbai, the state capital of Maharashtra. The district headquarters is located at Akola. Marathi and Hindi are the main languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total geographical area of 5,673 km², including 5,588.85 km² of rural area and 83.96 km² of urban area.
