Gondia District, Maharashtra

Gondia is an administrative district in Maharashtra, India. The district is located about 870 km from Mumbai, the capital of Maharashtra. Its administrative headquarters is in Gondia. Marathi, Hindi and Gondi are the major languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total area of 5,234 km², including 5,139.84 km² of rural area and 94.16 km² of urban area.
