Gondiya

Gondiya is a district in the Maharashtra State of India. Total area of Gondiya is 5,234 km² including 5,139.84 km² rural area and 94.16 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Gondiya has a population of 13,22,507 peoples, out of which urban population is 2,25,930 while rural population is 10,96,577. Gondiya has a sex ratio of approximately 999 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 252.7 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 2,92,369 houses in the district, including 48,529 urban houses and 2,43,840 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 883 villages in gondiya district.
