Sangrur

Sangrur is a district in the Punjab State of India. Total area of Sangrur is 3,625 km² including 3,465.75 km² rural area and 159.25 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Sangrur has a population of 16,55,169 peoples, out of which urban population is 5,15,965 while rural population is 11,39,204. Sangrur has a sex ratio of approximately 885 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 457 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 3,18,870 houses in the district, including 1,01,006 urban houses and 2,17,864 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 564 villages in sangrur district.
