Baran District, Rajasthan

Baran District is an administrative district in the state of Rajasthan, India. It is situated about 280 km from Jaipur, the state capital of Rajasthan. The district headquarters is located at Baran. Hindi and Rajasthani are the main languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total geographical area of 6,992 km², including 6,846.71 km² of rural area and 145.29 km² of urban area.
