Bareilly District is an administrative district in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. It is situated about 255 km from Lucknow, the state capital of Uttar Pradesh. The district headquarters is located at Bareilly. Hindi and Urdu are the main languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total geographical area of 4,120 km², including 3,841.93 km² of rural area and 278.07 km² of urban area.
